Stories that inform. Words that heal. Books that inspire.

My Story

I am a writer, educator, and outreach presenter, and my career has spanned classrooms, newsrooms, and international stages. As a journalist with NPR and the BBC, I honed my storytelling voice covering stories that matter, blending clarity with compassion. That same gift for communication now shapes my work in writing and community education.

As a teacher, I have worked with learners of all ages, bringing creativity, critical thinking, and empathy into the classroom. In my current role in Alzheimer’s research outreach, I have become a trusted voice in public engagement, hosting widely attended forums, webinars, and health programs that connect science with community.

The power of words: not just to inform, but to inspire, to build bridges, and to create lasting impact.

Alongside my academic and professional work, I am the author of multiple books, ranging from imaginative fiction to resources supporting caregivers and healthy aging. My range as a writer reflects my journey: from award-recognized novels, to children’s literature, to works that blend advocacy, science, and storytelling.

Whether at the microphone, in print, or in person, my aim is always the same. I want to make complex ideas accessible, to build bridges between people, and to leave something lasting behind.
